About Us: Visit us at our blogspot for regular updates on what is happening at the farm. Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Roxbury is a community supported farm, one of the largest in the country, and the first to have a community in New York City. We grow vegetables, herbs, melons, and strawberries, for over 990 shareholders representing over 1000 families in four communities--Columbia County, the Capital Region, Westchester County and Manhattan--on 225 acres in Kinderhook, New York. (continued) Biodynamic Farming Roxbury is a biodynamic farm, which means it's organic. But biodynamic means more than organic. Both are alternatives to toxic chemicals and genetic manipulation, but it isn't only what we don't do that makes our farm different from conventional farms; it's what we do. Farmland Protection Roxbury is a protected farm, one of the first to make a new kind of land tenure work. In collaboration with our land trust partner, Equity Trust, Roxbury Farm is becoming a model for small farms in the Hudson Valley, and around the country. Two hundred twenty five acres of the best farmland in Columbia County will be preserved for farming, forever.
